MR. CHARLES E. NEILL
DIES IN GREENVILLE
The many friends in Transylvania
County of Mr. Chas. E. Neill will be
saddened at reading the following
notice from the Greenville News of
January 9th.
Mr. Neill formerly lived in Tran- 1
sylvania County and has many,
friends and relatives in this County.
He was a man of high character, a
true friend and a fine citizen and
his death is a loss to the community
in which he lived.
"Chas. E. Neill, for many years a
resident and well known business man
of this city, but more recently eh
gayod in business in Westminster and
Seuo dice' at 2:00 o'clock Wednes
day afternoon at the home of his
brother, R. I). Neill in Seneca, after
a sudden illness of pneumonia. He
was TO years of aire.
"He is survived by hi- wife Mrs. C.
E. Xeii' of this city and one daugiv- ;
ti-r, Mrs. A. C. ('lark, of Boston,
Mass., and two sons, Jesse C. N'.'ill
of Birmingham, Ala., and Barry Neill

RESOLUTIONS
Whereas, the Rev. John R. Hay
requested that his relation as pastor
of this church be dissolved that he
may move to another lield of useful
ness:
Therefore, We, the Brevard Pres
byterian church, in congregation as
sembled, unite with him in a peti
tion to Prosbytery to release him
from his obligation as pastor of tin's
church. '
Be it further resolved, that this
action is oaken with deep sorrow
and regri'fl as Mr. Hay has served so
many years as our beloved pastor.
He was true to his obligations to
his Master, ( true to his obligations to
hi-, vh'urch, 1 faithful and tender in
his personal relations, loved by his
church respected and esteemed by the
community lor his linn defense of
right and unalterable.- opposition to

such pastor, neighbor, friend and cit
izen we commend him and his gentle,

two little boys to the love and confi
