PRESBYTERIANS TO GIVE
SOCIAL
A social and entertainment will,
be given at the Presbyterian Hut on
the evening of Tuesday, July 11, at
eight o'clock:
A sketch entitled. "A Rainy
Afternoon," will be presented by
the Woman's Auxiliary and young
girls of the church. Pretty and
graceful costumes and lively music
will add to the interest of the pro
gram. Fancy and useful articles
will also be on sale, also light re
freshments. A small admission fee

mont," with a dancing party honor
ing Miss Dorothy's house guest, Miss
Helen Bozeman, of Greenville, S. C.
The beautiful home was attrac
tively decorated with a profusion of
mountain rhododendron and ferns.
The brilliantly lighted Japanese lan
terns on the piazza and in the con
servatory, added charm and beauty.
The pretty red shaded lights
throughout the rooms cast a soft
glow, producing a- pleasing effect.
The spacious rooms were thrown en
suite, affording excellent spy e for
the handsomely attired dancers.
Music was furnished for the occa
sion by a five-piece AshevilU* or
chestra. Punch and cake were
served during the evening.
Assisting Mrs. Silver-teen in serv
ing the punch in the conservatory
were Mrs. V. P. White and Mrs. T -
H. Shipman. About one hundred
guests were present.
