STAN BERRY CLOSES VERY SUCCESSFUL REVIVAL AT ETOWAH. TENNESSEE The folio win# if. a clipping from the E iowafi (Tenn.) Enterprise, of i November 12: Rev. J. H. Brother Stanberry and Colville are two Locomotive Engineers of the A.'.hevillc Division of the Southern | Railway, and in the four years they nave been on the battlefield for God aver 5,000 souls have accepted Christ in their meetings. We. in Etowah, feel that the great good already accomplished in this meeting is more than words can ex-, prcrs. Our churches have* been great ly revived. The writer has known Brother Stan berry nearly all his life, and I invited him to come to Etowah to hold this meeting. I saw, friends, .that something had to be done in sonic way to; help our churches spirit ually. and to cause a check in tile drifting away and to go after the un saved railroad men. Brother Stan berry called in the ministry ami hi.-* great work already accomplished re mintles me of God's call to Samuel and Paul; Stanberry says. "Here 1 am Lord," Samuel .'{-4; "And what wilt thou have me do. Lord?" Acts iW? and Bro. Stanberry said "Cod said, 'Harve, go out into this cold hearted world and preach ni word'." ami he has done it an<: God is bicssing h'ui. There have been some converts at this meeting who wer not willing to go home until the> felt Jesug saved thier souls, and two Road men stayed with us until late hours at night in 'lie tent until God avid thvm. Many homes in this :<>wn have heard the shouts of praise i>n account of :<>hie father ::n<i moth er being saved. We. heard men and women on the streets talking religion and pleading with the lost to be saved. So today November 9th, with a rejoicing heart for the good that has been ac OOmplishjed and souls that have been saved, yet I hear a small voice saying that makes me sad. Look out on dear old Etowah. There are many souls yet unprepared to meet G<>d. but thanks be unto God. Bn> { ? ther SsI an berry has preached >1. j word, of God to then., !>ut many ! them turned a deaf ear to God's call Over 100 souls have lined up to walk with the King, and close to 2,0<M Cliistiyn people have .vdediia. their lives to God to wall: closer wi h the Savior. At tm Sunday a sgin services, Nov. 8th, cio^e i.o ia... forward and jjave Brother Stanberr. their hand that they were going to be a Tither the rest of their lives, and we will not rob God any more; we will give a tenth of what we make unto the Lord. Brother Stanberry and party have won the friendship of both Christ ians and the unsaved, and it has broken our hearts to say goodbye to night. But thanks be unto God, there is CQming a day yonder in that beautiful city where there will be no separation. So Brother Stanberr> and party, we pray God's blessing upon you and wherever you go, re member our prayer;, go with you, an<. we will not fail in our daily prayer, to remember you and that God wu. continue to bless you with power i "reach the word to this dying worl This read and approved by tin ?ongrcgation at Ktowah, Term. th? close of the - Revival Tent Meeting.
