in charge. The Asheville Paving
company has contract for the lay
ing of water and sewer mains. J.
M. Kilpatrick ,of Brevard, has the
sidewalk contract.

of the Ford truck he was driving
Thursday afternoon colliding with
a Graham truck driven by Aflar.;
Moses, of Sylva, the accident occurr
? ing near Connestee Falls on the
j Greenville-BreVard highway. Her
man Medcalf, in the truck with Sum
j niey, was cut about the head and
j both vjere brought in to Brevard
i and are now in Transylvania hos
' pital, where both are reported 10 be
' recovering.
A third truck belonging to the
I Hendersanville Grocery company
j also collided with the two wrecked
trucks before the driver, L. Wagner,
had time to apply his brakes and
prevent a collision. The three trucks
were seriously damaged and brought
in to Brevard for repairs, though
Wagner and Moses escaped unin
jured. The cause of the accident is
undertermined. though it is stated
that one of the trucks was .going at.
a high rate of speed at the time of
the accident.
