ERNEST PANGLE PAINFULLY HURT IN BASKETBALL GAME Ernest Pangle, a freshman of Rosman High School, suffered a very painful injury to his foot on the Rosman basketball court last week during a practice 'game. He was later taken to the Henderson viHe hospital for X-rav pictures and it was fouDd that no bones were broken, but- ligaments and muscles badly torn. The people of Gloucester cer-| tainly should be thankful for the great kindness which the Lord has [bestowed upon them in sending the :rain to wash "out our good roads land then the good old north wind | to dry them for us. Some of our good men have been carrying around a petition to our tax payers to go fifty-fifty with the State fo rroad work in our section, jbut the tax payers refusing to sign ) only ask "Where has our tax money cone?" Friends in Oakland were sorry to see in hist week's Brevard News that their old friend C. R. McNeely, was on the sick list. Ray Sanders has the honor of driving the first motor car to the top of Mt. Toxaway. (Better known as Hogback mountain): Ray is driving a truck for the people who are getting shrubbery Off the moun tains, hence the foolhardy trip.
