The Home Makers class of t,hi
Baptist church met Thursday after
noon in the church parlors. The
meeting was called to order by- the
president, Mrs. Ralph Ramsey. Scrip
ture was read and prayer offered.
Reports from all the officers were
made.
Subject of the lesson for the aft
ernoon was a discussion on Bible
characters. Business was discussed,
af'.er which salad, cake and coffee
were served by the hostesses. Mrs.
P. H. Galloway and Mrs. J. I. Craw
ford. The next meeting will be held
at the home of Mrs. Jim Mills on
the third Tuesday in May.

Miss Annie Shipman entertained
the Philathea class of the Baptist
Sunday School Wednesday evening
with a party at The Bryant.
Each member wore a little apron
with pennies in the pocket represent
ing each inch of the waist measure.
This proved an interesting feature
of the evening's enjoyment. Games,
music and songs were enjoyed by all
present.
