Miss Inoz Alexander and friends called on Peggy Sanders Sunday. Miss Myrtle Robinson and brother John, and Miss Gladys Galloway and brother Haywood, of Tryon, spent Thanksgiving with friends here. We had a very interesting Sunday School at the Baptist church on Sun day, and hope all will continue to come and help. Mrs. Frank Nichols was a visitor of Mrs. H. G. Rogers Friday, Mrs, C .C. Hall, who was seriously ill last week, is slightly improved. Mrs. Fannie McCoy has returned home, after being with her daugh ter, Mrs. Arrowood Lee, who has been ill. PLEASANT GROVE NEWS Mr.s Guy Newton, ? of Stanley, visited friends and relatives here last week. Mrs. Richard Hamilton has re turned home after an extended visit at Stanley. Herman Hamilton and Earl Grey made a business trip to Horse Shoe Saturday. The youngsters enjoyed a singing at the home of D. R. Justus Sunday afternoon. Miss Lillian Scott, of Stanley, was the week-end guest of Miss Mattie Hamilton. Clyde Blythe, of Hendersonville, spent Sunday at the home of his par ents, Rev. and Mrs. C. E. Blythe. Miss Beulah Lusk, of Henderson ville, was the w;ek-end guest of Miss Florence "BTythe. Raymond Morgan, of Henderson ville, was in our section Sunday. William Hamilton made a business trip to Pisgah Forest Saturday. The Pleasant Grove people gave the pastor of our church, Rev. R. R MabafFey, a nice "pounding" on Thanksgiving.
