larity all the time. It is thoroughly
modern and up-to-date, and operated

There Is no greater necessity than
the modern hotel. With the ever in*
creasing number of men who, be
cause of their business are forced to
make hotels their homes, the modern
hotel proprietor has realized that the
public has learned much from these
as to what constitutes a modern and
efficient hotel. Every community
that can boast of such a hotel is sure
of much recognition all over the
surrounding country.
We are glad to refer our readers

point to it as a modern and up>to

NEHI BOTTLING CO.
With plant at 322 Southside ave- ,
nue in AshevlUe, formerly the Che.vo- '
Cola Bottling Company, is the man
ufacturer, bottler and distributor of
NeM and "Cascade" Ginger Ale, and j
a complete line of carbonated bever
ages ? an institution that is aiding
tho preservation of the public health
as well as distributing bsverages of
sparkling cheer. They keep right ,
abreast of the times with the latest
equipment. They have excellent de- '
livery service and are under the di- '
rection of a management, whose uc- j
coramodating service has made this ,
one of the leading bottling plants
of the country.
In this review, including as it
does a resume of the business en
terprises, we arc pleased to call the
attention of the public to the excel
lent service and high class products
that are being distributed by the
Nehi Bottling Company.
Their plant is or;e of the largest
in this section of the country and 1
is fitted with the latest mechanical I
devices for the complete sterilization
of all of the bottles. The filling ma
chines are of the latest design so
that the bottle 13 hardly touched by j
human hands until ready to be put
into cases for delivery.
The distribution of Nehi in Ashe
vile has been placed in good hands
and the management has built up a
wonderful business. They offer the
best of service and are gentlemen
who dispense the hospitality which is
so prevalent in the land where Nehi
is made.
The Nehi Bottling Company offers
the very best of delivery and their
trucks can be seen over this part of
the state in delivery. We desire to
congratulate them as being an in
stitution that offers the public the
very best that can be produced.
ELLISON MOTOR COMPANY
With display rooms on the corner
of College and Valley streets in
Asheville, are authorized dealers and
distributors for the world famous
Oakland and Pontiac cars, which
aro produced by one of the largest
and best equipped organizations of
the country. ,j
When a person decides to buy an
automobile they have in many cases
determined in what class they will
purchase, but what car in this class is
altogether another matter. If they
are looking for a car of universal
value, they do not have far to go,
for when they come to the Oakland
they are at once satisfied.
The Oakland V-type Eight cylin
der which is noted for its durability
and strength, offers the lowest aver-!
age cost per mile of any car of equal
price. It has more power per
pound of car than any competing
car. Better material, better work- '
manship and a higher grade of coach
work is used than any car in the same '
price range. j
This wonderful car has won its
reputation by its actual testa on the
road under all kinds of road condi
tions and this is where the real test
of a car comes, testing its ability to
stand up under all kinds of treat
ment. A person may say, "I don't
expect to give my car hard use."
That may be all true, but if a car
will stand up under the hardest kind
o ? use possible to give it, it will do a
great deal better under ordinary
conditions.
This is not the only feature of
this car as the initial cost is very
reasonable, and the cost of upkeep
has astonished many of its purchas
ers. It is a car that is not hard on
tires, and its riding comfort is dis
tinctive.
The management of this agency is
in the hands of men who are progres
sive business men in every respect,
and their salesmen are courteous and
accommodating, and we take pleasure
in directing those of our readers
who are thinking of purchasing in
this class to this agency.

It is very doubtful if any enter

by such immense progress as has this
company, the largest institution of
its kind in this section.
It is essential that prominent men

vast quantities they are shipping at
all times have met with the commen
dation of the purchasers, and have
aided in building up this section of
the country.
In this section particularly, indus
terial progress has been benefitted by
them. There is nothing more im
portant than the development of '
good sand and gravel for building
roads and streets, driveways and
! building blocks. They have fumish
t ed large quantitos of sand and jjravel
to this county, beintr one of the firms
that lias been selected by the eon
tractors to supply a largo part of
their orders.
The B. & C. Lime and Stone com
pany is thoroughly conversant with

dous strides to the front that this
large concern has made, and togeth
er with their associates in the com
pany, have always been real boosters
