INDIAN REUS SOLD BY EDGAR ALLISON ?.EUjrar Allison, of Penrose, has. sold some Indian relics to Mr. B. S. Colburn, of Biltttvore Forest, Ashe ville, nnJ' these have-bepn added to the wonderful colic- ft ion at Asheville. The Brevard News asked people who have have Indian relics to bring same to this office where Mr. Col burn might see them and value the articles. Small, irregular arrow heads have no value, but perfectly shaped arrow heads, and other relics of Indian days and Indian life do have value. Any one in the county having anything of such nature may convert it into cash by bringing such relics to The Brevard News office. This paper makes no profit at all in the transac tion, but acts simply as a meeting point for the one's who have such relics and Mr. Colburn, in the hope to be able to add a little more [ money to the bank accouhts of the J subscribers of this paper. The Rosman High School basketball teams have completed this year what is popularly acclaimed their most successful I season. While success was anticipated, the lack of seasoned basketball Material was expected to be too much handicap for the record that was made. In spite of the rather green niatei ial with which he had to work, an old hand with experience, in high school coaching brought the teams across in such form ?s even hardened basketeers like the championship team from Six Mile (S. C.) could not resist. Coach Moore, while praising the community for splendid support, is being heartily en dorsed for his efforts in providing fans of the Rosman community with first class basketball. During.the season the boys played ten games, scoring 216 points against their opponents 138. The girls played six games during the season, scoring 115 points against 124. High scorers for the boy's team were Fisher and Whitt, Fisher leading. Star guards included Staton and Nelson. For the girl's team, F. Galloway and B. Nelson lead the scoring, while Watkins, McCall and E. White were the star guards. * ' Lineup of the teams is as follows: Boys ? L. Whitmire, center (captain) ; W. White, forward; Fisher, forward; Staton and Nelson, guards. Substitutes ? Pangle, Paxton, Fitzgerald. Girls ? F. Galloway, center (captain) D. Lee and B. Nelson, forwards; E. White and L. McCall, guards; M. Watkins, center guard. Substitutes ? L. Gallowav, B. Moore. 1 ' . i The teams as a whole deserve commendation. Captains Galloway and Whitmire come in for special mention for their i fine spirit of leadership and efficient piloting. Former Captain Pauline Powell should also share in the honors.
