Mr. Blythe delviered a fine talk to the seventh grade graduates, after which Supt. S. P. Verner gave an in teresting talk. R. E. Mackey then presented Miss Elizabeth McCoy jwith the D. A. R. History medal, she having made the highest grade in United States History. Principal W. B. Tommy Graham was going good in the pitcher's box and managed to keep the hits scattered. Robert Menendez, for the Institute slammed one over the fence for the stellar performance. Roland Whitmire, pitching for the town team, went good for several in nings, only to be pounced on in the fourth for an array of hits that accounted for the big one-sided score.
