ROSMANNEWS MRS. JORDAN WHITMIRE, Manager STATE MAN HERE TO ASSIST IN HARVESTING PROJECT A. S. Cline, of the State Experi ment station at Raleigh, assisted J. F. Corbm, Rosman Agricultural teacher in harvesting the wheat grown on the farm of Carl Allison, at Cherryfield, last week. This wheat was grown principally as an experiment. I i WEEK-END HOUSE PARTY ENJOYED BY YOUNG PEOPLE , .Mr. and Mrs. D. L. Glazener chaperoned a party of 3(3 young peo ple at a house party in Brevard over the week-end. Guests were present from Quebec, Rosman and Brevard, and a very enjoyable time was re ported. QUARTERLY CONFERENCE BE HELD AT SAPPHIRE CHURCH The third quarterly conference of the Methodist church, Roar :.i cir cuit, will be held at Sapph <: Sun day afternoon at 3 o'clock. BILL PATTERSON SUCCUMBS AFTER SERIOUS OPERATION Bill Patterson, age 28, died at the County Home Wednesday of last week following an operation for appendicitis. Mr. Patterson had been desperate ly ill for a number of days before the operation and death was not unexpected. Funeral services were held Thursday at the residence, con ducted by Rev. (J. E. Ke]lar. Inter ment was in the WhitmiVe ceme- 1 tery. Surviving are the widow and baby ? also his mother, Mrs. Harriet Pat- , terson, two sisters, Mrs. Frank King and Mrs. Ed Davis of Rosman. also a number of brothers in South Car-! olina. DR.
