and Miss Schachner proved a capable
and entertaining hostess-.
The young folks danced from nine
until twelve o'clock, being served re
freshments during the course of the

HOLDS MEETING TUESDAY
The regular meeting of the. Sun
day school Workers Council of the
Baptist ehurch was held Tuesday
evening at eight o'clock in the church
parlor. Despite the inclement weather j
the attendance -was very good, there
being more than 20 present ? ,
Plans for the coming month's work
were outlined and matters pertain
ing to the Sunday school work were
discussed by the various- officers and !
teachers. Rev, Hartseil, -pastor, made j
a very interesting talk in whieh he :
stressed the individual r?sponsihiliiy
of the teachers. ? ?!,:
The meeting was presided over by
the general superintendent, FyiBrown
Carr, .who made a plea for. unified
cooperation in the Suj}day<t>i sehifol

It was announced that the next j
meeting is to be held on Tuesday
evening October 25 at 7:30 o'clock.

fair one of the most enjoyable of the
season.
Mrs. Ed McCoy, Elisabeths mother,
served delicious refreshments to the

FRIDAY
The Men's Bible Class of the Meth
odist church held their annual out
ing last Friday evening at White
Pine camp in the P:3gah National
Forest. A number of the Young
Men's class attended as invited
quests. There were about 38 in at
tendance.
A feature of the outing was a de
licious squirrel supper, which was
greatly enjoyed by all those attend
ing. This meeting was scheduled to
have been held several weeks ago but
was postponed due to illness in the
families of several of the members.
