REGISTRATION BOOKS ARE OPEN CORRECTED LIST OF ASHE VILLES REGISTRARS. The registration books opened this morning at 9 o'clock. At one precinct up to 10 o'clock nix persons had regis tered, ami they were all Democrats. Owing to the fact that some of ih'i registrars appointed the first Monday In June were unable to serve, the board of elections has appointed others to fill their places. Ogburn. A CORRECTION In I). M. Luther's letter to The Cit izen yesterday Mr. Luther was mud.' to say that "the fourteenth amend ment to the constitution uf the I'nlted States provides that the enumeration of certain rights shall not be con strued to deny or disparage others re tained by the people.- " It should have read "the ninth uniendnient." C, for a few weeks' visit. Hunter has regained his health at this charming city In the moun tains. He likes the climate and 'the people." Mr. Arnold returned to Ashe ville yesterday. Misses Edith and Marjorie Kinnan left Asheville Saturday afternoon en route to Ann Arbor, Mich., where they intend to enter the university for a course of study. They will spend a few days visiting friends at Toledo, O.. on the way. Mrs. Kinnan, who Is 'spending a few months in Washing ton. D. E. Buchanan, her daughter, Mrs. A. W. Duckett, and Mr. Duckett have Just returned to their old home on South Main street, from a most en joyable and interesting trip In Europe, embracing a winter on the Riviera, a sojourn on the Swiss lakes, exciting trips over the passes, the great Passion Play at Oberammergau and the Paris exposition. Mr. and Mrs. Duckett sailed for Eu rope Just 13 months ago and cycled over a great part of England and the continent, and were Joined by Mrs. Buchanan at Geneva last Christmas, THROWN AGAINST A CAR. A mule ridden by Mr. Foster of Wea vervllle became frightened at a car on Patton avenue this afternoon and reared, throwing the rider against the car.
