After a good deal of study and work we have , at last "figgered" out why so many country editors get rich, says an exchange. Here is the secret of success: A child is born in the neighborhood tho at tending physician gets $10; the editor gives the loud-lunged young ster and tho "happy - parents" a sendoff and gets JO. It is chris tened; tho minister gets $1 and the editor gets $00. It grows up and marries; the editor publishes another long-winded flowery arti cle and tells a dozen lies alwut the "beautiful and accomplished bride;" the minister gets $10 and a piece of cake, and tho editor gets ijMX'0. In the course of time it dies, and tho doctor gets from $5 to $100, the minister perhaps gets another $1 5, the undertaker gets from $25 to $50; editor publishes a notice of the death and an obitua ry two columns long, lodge and so ciety resolutions, a lot of poetry and a free card of thanks and gets $0,000. No wonder so many coun try editors get rich. Kx. Stallcup Furniture Co., FRANKLIN, N. C. - x " I If 3 Naw Factory Building . Corner Phillips & Palmer Streets.
