IOTLA POST OFFICE ROBBED
oiuicuiue weancsaay night or
1 hursday morning the Iotla post office
was robbed by someone' who entered
me ouuamg Dy using a pick to pry
open he door and then blew a large
nuic m me iron sate with dynamite or
some other high explosive.
The post office at. Iotla is located
m the store of Mr. H. P. Ray who
generally sleeps at the building. The
night of the robbery Mr. Ray was
sleeping elsewhere. It is therefore
believed that the robbery was com
mitted by some person who is familiar
with the habits' of Mr. Ray.
As we go to press the officers arc
wiuiuuc a ciue to the identity of the
culprit. Efforts are being made to pro
cure bloodhounds from Asheville.
At this writing, though a hole' was
blown in the safe, it is not known
whether the robbers succeeded in get
ting the ontents, as the safe door is
so badly warped it cannot be opened.
