Cullowhee Now Offers
Correspondence Course
Cullowhee, lc. 7. For the first
time in its history Cullowhee has now
extended its services to the fteachers
out in the field through the Corres
pondence - Study - Department. This
movement is in keeping with other
teacher-training institutions, and it is
believed that through this medium
many teachers will be assisted in a
very acceptable way toward raising
their certificate or hastening their
work toward graduation. The inter
est shown on the part of the teach
ers in' service toward this movement
has been very gratifying indeed, and
it is quite evident that they welcome
the idca.i The school has published
a special bulletin announcing the
courses offered and full instructions
as to how to enroll. By the time the
printed bulletins were ready for dis
tribution, twelve students had si
ready enrolled and , begun work.
Thee bulletins are now being mailed
rapidly and inquiries and new regis
trations are coming in daily. The bul
letin may be had by anyone upon
request.
President Hunter feels confident
that the Correspondence-Study-Department
is going to prove a great
factor in helping Cullowhee to serve
more adequately the teachers of
Western North Carolina and adjoin
ing territories. It is his policy to en
large this depaartment with an in
creased number of courses offered
as rapidly as the patronage demands.
