, By virtue of a decree of the Su
perior Court of Macon County, made
in the above entitled action,' I will on
Monday, the fourth day of January.
1926, sell at public auction at the
court house, door in the town of
Franklin, in said county and between
the legal hours of sale, the follow
ing described property:
FIRST TR'ACT: Lying and being
' in Macon County,1 State of North
Carolina adjoining the lands of Mar
garet Beasley, Sil'es Green and others.
Beginning on a fallen chestnut, cor
ner of No. 85 and A. R. Clure tract
running W. 50 poles more or less to
the second branch northward with
said branch 100 poles more or less,
passing the head of the branch to a
white oak in the Clure outside lines,
then E. 25 poles more or less to a
hickory, thence S. 23 poles to a hick
ory, thence E. 110 poles more Or less
to a chestnut on the S. YV. side of the
mountain, then S. 75 poles more or
less to the top of the big ridge, then
with meanders of said ridge a S. W.
course to a black oak, A. R. Clure's
beginning corner, then a N. W. course
100 poles crossing a small branch
about .75 feet S. of a large poplar
standing near the branch to a stake
in crook of the road in Clure's field.

road 30 poles more' or less to a locust
A. R. Clure's corner, thence down the
hollow and branch to the beginning,
Containing 75 acres more or less.
-SECOND TRACT: Beginning at
a chestnut corner of No. 2387, and
runs S. 53 W. 34 poles to a chestnut,
thence N. 52 poles to the N. E. corner
of the Clure lands, then W. 109 poles
to a hickory on an old corner then
N. 23 poles to a stake and pointers
on old corner, thence E. 120 poles to
a' stake in old line, then S. 20 E. 50
poles to the beginning. Containing
25 acres more or less.
Sale will be made one-third cash,
balance in six to twelve months, dc
fcrred payments to bear interest and
be secured by Deed of Trust on the
land.

On December 4th, Superintendent
O. Flocker, Conductor Bob Adding-
ton of the T. F. Railway and Mr. L,
G. Metcalfe, all of Cornelia visited
Franklin on business. Under Mr. J.
F. Gray, as receiver of the road the
services of Mr. Flocker have assisted
materially in placing the Tallulah
Falls Railway on a paying basis.

Miscellaneous Shower
A pretty shower was given Miss
Sarah Cunningham and Mrs. A. B.
Omohundro by 'Mrs. Jones' Sunday
school class at the home of Mrs. J.
S. Porter, December 3, 1925. The
gifts were placed V on a Christmas
tree, decorated 'with tinsel and elec
tric lights, in the dining room and the
doors were thrown open to reveal the
brightly lighted . tree loaded . with
presents, just' like a real Christmas
tree at Christmas time.
Salad and coffee were served to
many guests present and the recipi
ents of this treat went home with
their arms full of useful and pretty
things and their ears ringing with
the well wishes of the guests. ,,
Wilson Brothers Buy Farm
Wilson Brothers, who built the
Georgia ' road and are now at work
on the Dillsboro road, have purchased
from Mr. Bud Allman 127 acres ' of
land about two miles from town on
tlie Georgia road. This tract is very
desirable for development purposes,
though the intentions of .Wilson
Brothers have not been announced.
Bill Moore claims that the Atlan
tic ocean has nothing on Lake Em
ory for magnificent distances. Per
haps the engine os Bill's motor, boat
went dead when Bill was down about
the dam.
