A music recital will be given at the Franklin school auditorium Friday night, May 21, at 8 o'clock. This will be a very entertaining program given by the music pupils of Miss Mattie Angel. . Sunday night, May' 23,' at 8" o'clock' Dr. Cunningham of Asheville will de liver the Baccalaureate address at the Methodist church. " Primary exercise Wednesday, May 26, at 4 p. m.; school auditorium. Wednesday nights May. '26, at 8 o'clock the Teacher Trainmi Depart ment will have charge of Tthe pro gram. ' The annual Society Declamation and .Recitation contest will be given May 27, at 3 p. m. "... J Thursday night, May 27 at 8 o'clock the Grammar Grade Department will give a very interesting program. . Graduation exercise will be given Friday night, May 28, at 8 o'clock. " All programs wilt begin promptly ' on time. Do not be one minute'late or you may miss the best part of the ' program. School News -J The senior class has been extensive- Iv entertained this year. One of th most, enjoyable events was the week end trip to Wayah Bald with the Sophs. They had a grand time even if it did rain. It has taken the whole crowd, however, all of this week to make- up for lost sleep.for of course none of them slept with those wide awake chaperoncs, Miss Weaver and Miss MozeJey around. . r''t Mr. Paul, of Highlands, has invited the senior class to camp on his grounds. They were forced to re fuse, however, because of the fact that school will be out in such a short time.: They appreciate the invitation though, and repret very much that they are unable to accept it. They will sing several nights during commencement,- Miss t Angel and het chorus have done some good work this year and deserve much credit.
