Dele gations of farmers are expected from Clay. Cherokee. Swain, Jackson, Mc D.oweJl, Madison, and Polk counties in North Carolina, and Rabun, Towns and Habersham in Georgia. Dr. A.J Glover, of Wisconsin, is to delver the address in the morning. Dr. Glover is editor of Heard's Dairyman, and is an authority on dairy farming, and an able speaker. Mr. F. H. Jeter, Agricultural Editor State College, North Carolina, is to soeak in the afternoon. The Carolina Creamery is to furnish free ice cream. The business men of franklin are planning a barbecue. It seems that the farmers of Macon county should furnish the bread, pies, pickles, cake, etc.' We believe that they will bring well filled'haskets. The creamery will be open (junng theday for inspection by farmrs and Th contests in the afternoon should prove, interesting. To Install New Machinery The fk'd Products Company, op erating the'old Rickman mine at the lie ad of Cowee. eleven miles from Franklin, is now mining seven tons of mica per day. Additional machin ery will be installed in a few days which will increase the output to ten toas per day. , Mr. II. G. Webber, su perintendent of the mine states that his company is now paying the town of Franklin approximately$3,600 per year for electric current. When the additional machinery is installed the amount paid 'the town will amount to more than $4,000 per year. The Mica Products has a fine plant which includes buildings for the machinery, a handsome bungalow tor the suoerintendent and several other buildines.
