Note to Correspondents
The Franklin Press is making every
effort to publish the- news not only
of Franklin, but of the entire county
as well. To do thisj it is necessary
for the management to have .the co
operation of the ' paper's correspon
dents. Correspondence should contain all
the news of the community,; but
nothing else. Only live news some
thing that has happened more re
cently than a month ago is desired.
Editorial comment what the writer
thinks about the way things are going
in his community or the county
ordinarily is out of place in news cor
respondence, Opinions may be em
bodied in letters to the editor, which,
if they discuss public questions and
are not too long, will be welcomed.
The Press reiterates the policy
which it, in common with practically
all newspapers, follows : namely,
NOTHING is published unless ' the
writer's name accompanies the hews
article or letter. The name will not
be publised if this is requested, but
the identy of the author must be
known to the management of the
paper. ' .' ' '
The Press wants a correspondent
one who will consistently send in all
the live news, and who is reliable
at every postoffice in the county. If
the news of your community is not
being published in the columns of
the paper, write the editor about be
coming the correspondent fo: your
community.

New lubricating.
oil proves it
vdth Buicks, Packards and others
A TEST on a Buick for carbon deposit with
the new "Standard" Motor Oil showed
amazing results. When the car was examined be
fore the test there were heavy accumulations of
carbon on cylinder heads and pistons. The new
"Standard" Motor Oil was then put in the crank
case and the car run 2,969 miles. Again it was
examined. Most of the carbon had disap'
peared the slight amount remaining was easily
wiped off with a cloth.
The new oil is' a perfect all 'roucfie lubricant,
giving a complete piston seal ; smoother operation
at all speeds; cooler motor; increases in oil mile
age of 12 to 40 and in gas mileage of 10 to
20. , '
Verify these astounding results with a crank
case full of "Standard" Motor Oil in your own
car. You can actually feel the difference
