Helen, the little daughter of Mr and Mrs. T. M. Greene has been, re ported sick. We wish her a speedy recovery. Mr. Van Frazier, of Rich Mountain, N. C. spent Saturday night with home folks. Mr. and Mrs. Henry Anderson and son, Frank, of upper Lartoo(?cchaye was visiting at Mr. E. J. Frazier's Sunday night. Mrs. Harvey Edwards, Mrs. Nell Williams and Mrs. Nealious Huscus son was visiting Mrs. Van Frazier one day the past week. Mr. E. J. Frazier and daughter, Miss rear! spent one night, the past week with Mr. Frazier's Brother, Mr. M. E. Frazier, at Clarke Chappel.- Miss Marcena Anderson spent a few days the past week with her, aunt, Mrs. Van Frazier. Mr. T. B. Greene has been reported on the sick list. We wish him a speedy recovery. Lee Rogers, former Macon county citizen, has just been received here. 1 Mr. Rogers, who moved away from this county about a year ago, was ill at the time he left, it was learned, and had never recovered. Mr. Rogers made Macon county his home for about seven years, ana was a prominent farmer of this county. He lived on the Kelly farm, a few miles west of Franklin, having sold this farm to F. Y. McCracken shortly before leaving this county. The deceased was well known here, and had many friends who learned of his death with regret. MR. AND MRS. M. E. COZAD HONORED At a meeting of the trustees of the Andrews School District on Jan uarys 24, a resolution was passed, naming' certain lands on the mountains between Andrews and Robbinsville, THE COZAD MOUNTAINS in hon or of Mr. and Mrs. M. E. Cozad, who moved to Andrews 26 years ago from Cleveland, Ohio. The resolution as unanimously adopted by the trustees pays many high tributes to Mr ami Mrs. Cozad, who are well and favor ably known in Franklin. Stiles Locals Mr. R..L. Parrish, of .West's Mill spent the week end in this section. Miss Ruth Byrd spent the week end . with her aunt, M iss Eva Byrd at Pinegrove who is teaching at that place. Mrs. Morgan gave the youngsters a candy drawing Saturday night. The house was crowded with young pco. ple and all seemed to enjoy the occasion very much. Rev. Judson Smith filled his regular appointment at Tellico Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Alex Truett, of Oak Grove were in our midst Saturday. Miss Eva Smith, who is attending Franklin High School spent the week end with home folks. Carl Morgan, who has been teach ing at Broadway is at home now. Mr. Harry Morgan was the guest of Homer Cochran the week end. Glad to state Mr. T. B. Anderson is imnrovinc. The roads are nearly impassable, on account of the continual rain. Homer Cochran and Carl Morgan spent Saturday afternoon squirrel hunting. Two shots were fired, but thev failed to bring in any game. Mr. Tom Justice, of Franklin was in this stction Sunday. Mr. Frank Cabe, of Turtle Pond spent the week end with Carl Morgan Rev. Judson Smith was the guest of Mr. and Mrs. 1. J. Lames satur dav. . Deputy Sheriff , Furman Anderson was in this- section one day last week. Mr. T. G. Hampton has rented the Bryson Burnette lands. Mr. Floyd Ramsey, of Tellico motored through this section Satur day on his way to Franklin. Mi?s Hazel Cochran, who has been staying with her brother, Mr. Homer Cochran returned to her home at Briartown Thursday. Messrs. Ralph and Harry Morgan are in the telegraph- pole business on a large scale. - . - Mr. R. L. Parrish bruised hjs hand hauling lumber.
