Mr Sam Greene soent Sunday night with his sister, Mrs. C. L. Camp, who has been sick for some time. Mr. Henly Potts, of Franklin was in this section Sunday. Mr. Chare Cunningham, of Winston-Salem was in this section Satur day. The children of the Louisa Chanel Sunday Schpol are practicing twice each week for the' Children's De program to be held June 1. We hope to have a large crowd on that day. i There will be dinner on the prnnnds. Evervbodv invited. Rev. and Mrs. J. 0. Frye and family, of Unaka, N. C. were visitors in this section Friday of last week. MrsV Frye's brother, Mr. Ham 'was also visiting-with them. i Mr. C. D. Flanigen Jr., engineer of the South-eastern Underwriters Asso ciation, visited Franklin last week and inspected the fire department. Mr. Flanigen reported the fire depart ment in good shape, but stated there was a lack of water for sufficient protection.
