PAGE SIX tHE FRANKLIN PRESS THURSDAY MAY 26, 1S27 Dodge Brothers Producing 100 Six Cylinder Cars Daily Dodge Brothers, Inc. hatf started production of its new six cylinder Jline and output is now running at iabout'KK) per day. This number will be increased rapidly and by the end of June daily output will approximate 300. The first shipments to dealers were arcade May 11 and' by the end of this month-all of Dodge Brothers dealers will have been sampled. The company 'now has orders ior the sixes . suf ficient to keep the immense new plan operating at 300 per day for sever; months. i The new line will be produced in three models, a four , door sedan, a four passenger coupe and a new type of cabriolet roadster. During the first week after the new motor was introduced orders for cars valued at $5,500,000 were received. These were in addition to regular contractual allotments. All of the Dodge Brothers factories are now operating at the highest lev els of the year and it is expected that still , fourther increases in operations will be necesary. Graham Brothers April retail sales in the United States and foreing ship ment totaled 5600 units. Overseas shipments last month totaled 1084, an increase of 188 per cent over March and the second highest month in Graham Brothers history. In Canada Graham Brothers April sales broke all previous records. Overseas shipments of Dodge Bro thers cars established a new high, record in the company's history on May 5. Preacher Excluded We the members of the Pine Grove Baptist church, incoherence assembled on May 7, 1927, excluded Rev. Frank Holland from the Pine Grove Baptist church as a member and silenced him as a preacher. This . exclusion was made on ac count of Rev. Mr. Holland's departure from the Baptist faith. Mr. John H. Sanders and family, and Miss Minnie Sanders returned Wednesday from Hickory, N. G, where they have been visiting Mrs. Sanders' parents.. The many friends of Mr. Jason Ledford will regret to hear of his death. Mr. Jason was buried at Coweta Tuesday. Mr. F. , Y. McCracken and Roy Carpenter were in this section the past week on business. Mr. Rastus Sanders, of Toccoa, Ga. was buried at Pleasant Hill last Mon day. The dead body was brought from Toccoa, Ga. by the Toccoa hearse. ' , ; ' Mr. Raymond and John. H. San ders, and families were visiting Mr. and Mrs. Frank Kellv at DillqrM Ga. Sunday evening. Mr. S. V. Stockton and familv anrl Johnie Sanders and wife were visiting Mr. Bob Brendle on Watauga Sunday.
