Sonic years ago Mr. Smith had a stroke -of paralysis from which he' never fully . recovered. A second stroke ended his life. He lived to tHe ripe old age of 81 years. He had lived in the Briartown section of the county for many years. His body was taken back there for interment. He leaves nine children and about twenty-three grandchildren besides a host of relatives and friends to mourn his departure.
