It Camp Taukeetah News The first month of the camp season at camp Taukeetah, Franklin, North Carolina,, closed August the first. The annual banquet was held thai; night. The dining room was decorated in the cattail, the camp flower, and candles. The tables were arranged, in the letter T, and ap propriate place cards and favors were at each place. Various toasts were given the different phases of camp life, and camp songs sung. Awards were made to the winners in the swimming meet, the posture contest, the horseback show, the flower rhow, the tennis tournament, the camn song contest, and the horseback tourna ment. The climax of the evening's program was the presentation of the Evelyn Penny loving cup. . Each year this; cup is presented to the girl who is voted as best representative of camp spirit. The honor this month went to Lela Hooker, of Durham, Worth Carolina. FRED H EATON DEAD Mr." Fred Heaton of Corrundum Hill section died, August 1, 1929 and was buried at Sugar Fork cemetery August 2, 1929. Mr. Heaton was un married and about thirty years old. MILL AN6 SHOP BURNED Mr. T. S. Dills of route two had the misfortune to lose his mill and shop which was burned about three weeks ago. He docs not know the cause of the fire unless in some way it caught from the engine. Mr. Dills estimates about $2,000 damage with no insurance. MRS. McHAN HERE FROM CALIFORNIA Mrs. R. P.
