Brown and Mr. Olin Dryman' at
Clayton, Ga., on Feb. 8, 1930. Hon.

The bride is the charming daugh
ter of Mr. and Mrs. Andy Brown,
of Scaly, and numbers her friends
by her acquaintances. .
The groom is the son of Mr. and
Mrs. Earl Dryman, . one of the old
est families of Scaly. He is an en
terprising young farmer of this section.-
Their, many friends wish for them
a long and prosperous life.

Lewton James , spent last week end
on Tesenta with their sister, Mrs.

went to Franklin and did some shop
ping at W. C. Cunningham's sale.
Mr. Harley ' Vinson's children are
sick with whooping cough, at this
writing.
Mr. : John Burnette has recently
installed a complete water system
in his house. Prior to this he has
purchased a dynamo which furnishes
electric lights for his home and store.
Mr. Kibbie Ramey has purchased
some land from Mr. John Burnette
on which he has built a house he
now occupies .
Messrs. Survaley and Lawton James
have been busy farming the past
week. They have planted their Irish
potato crop.
Mr. and Mrs. Jeff Piersqn, of
West's Mill, S. C, have moved to
Scaly.
Mr. Ralph, Vinson, who has been
working at Rich . Mountain, has re
turned home.
Mr. Frank Blackwell has been in
disposed for the last few days. His
riends will be glad to know he is
improving.
Mr. Jim Teague,, of Mud Creek,
Ga., has purchased a .home near Bald
Mountain from Mr. Gus Bleckley and
has moved into it.
Mr. Edgar James is building a new
house on the Bald Mountain road,
near the North Carolina line. He
hopes to have it ready to move into
in a few days.
Messrs. Alex and Lawton P, James
are leaving this morning for Clayton,
Ga., where they will serye as grand
jurors in court next week.
