REDUCING TO
OPEN WEEK AT
MACON THEATRE
Dressier and Polly Moran
will be seen at the Macon theatre
starting Monday in "Reducing,
their second co-starring comedy.
From all reports this picture du
nlirates the success of their earlier
laugh feature, "Caught Short" The
principal scenes are laid in a beau
ty parlor, which gave Director
Charles Riesner all sorts of op
portunities to get laughs out of
the attempts of obese ladies to get
thin and underweight ones to add
a few pounds.
It is said that electrical rcauc
,n and exorcisiinc machines, per
manent hair wavers, mud baths.
steam rooms and a variety of other
beauty appliances all play their
part in making this comedy one of
the ' funniest produced at the
Metro-Goldwyn-Maycr studios.
Information is that the picture
also has its share of dramatic mo
ir.iif! hnilt about the double ro
mances of Anita Page and William
Bakewfll and Sally Eilers and wu
Collier. Tr. This permits Miss
Dressier to give moviegoers anoth-
r characterization in the vein ot
...r rprrnt success. "Min and Bill."
The cast is further augmented by
the presence in a featured role ot
Lucien Littlefield, who lends his
inimitable . comedy talents to the
part of Miss Dressier s mail-carrier
husband.
