A softball team, rrd a good one, has been organized . rnd three times a week health outdoors is observed. Chaperoned by Mrs. Donnahoe. one section of the eight grade en joyed a picnic at Dills Cove Falls, the other groups going to Paris Mountain with Mrs. Davis and Mrs. Fortner. The eight grades state that science with Mrs. Fortner is fun well as English and math with Mrs. Donnahoe and Mrs. Davis. Ciitzens of the town are sched uled to see a lot of ghosts and snooks on the night before Hal le ween as this group of students ?..re planning a big party at 'the Club House. Ida Jean Allison Joins Kappa Delta Sorority M iss Ida Jean Allison, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dan Allison of Sylva, and a student at the Uni versity of Tennessee, has been made a member of Kappa Delta sorority at that institution. She received her last initiation two vveeks ago. Miss Allison has also been elect ed sponsor and Captain of Co. A, of the R. O. T. C. Battalion. On Saturday the sponsors drilled with the Battalion officres in the week's r< utine drill on the practice area adjoining Shields-Watkins field. The first dress parade will be held December 13th when the pub lic will be invited. The pressure cooker was demonstrated in preparing a full meal. The afternoon session was on planning a house.
