Bobbit, Judge presiding?We, the Grand Jury wi>h tu make the following report: T;ie State Prison camp at Whit tier was vi.-.ted and found to be in excellent condition. We have examined the offices of the court house and find them to be in good condition. At the county jail we found the heating sy.-tern inadequate, and recommend something be done about thi> before winter. We also I recommend new screen wire for all of the jail windows and outside doors and that the door between the men's and Women's quarters be removed and a solid wall be built. The brick wall on the West side to be repaired. The county home was found to be in good condition. The build ing, stock, farm machinery, and supplies well taken care of. The schools could not be visited all over the county but we recom mend that the proper authorities inspect all buildings before the be ginning of the fall term and see that they are in good condition. We have been informed that the children of about 35 families in Canada Township, Charlie's Creek school, have been deprived of school facilities for the past two years, and we recommend that these children be provided with the proper school priviledges.
