Cagle of Cullowhee have announced the marriage of their daughter, Miss Gwendolyn Cagle, to Clifford Moses, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. T. Moses, of Cullowhee. The wedding took place on November 22 at the home of the bride. The Rev. R. T. Houts, Jr., officated using the double ring ceremony. The bride was unattended. For her wedding she wore a suit of white gabardine with black ac cessories. Her corsage was of red rose buds. Tommy Moses was his brother's best man. Preceding the ceremony a small reception for members of the fam ilies and a few close friends was held at the home of the bride's parents. The bridal table was cov ered with a hand made lace cloth and centered with the wedding cake. Mrs. Moses, graduate of Webster high school, completed her studies at Western Carolina Teachers col lege November 26. She will re ceive her diploma in June, 1948. Q. Gritfg as hostess. Dinner was served at the dining table and at two small tables, each with its white cover and centered with a red candle. Mr. Grigg gave the devotional and the president, Mrs. Gudger Forti^er, p resided over a short business session, dur ing which plans were completed for the Christmas activities of the guild. Gifts were exchanged followed by a social hour of conversation, and games. Fourteen members were present and Mrs. N. R. Bach- j am, Mrs. Harry Hastings and Rev. Mr/ Grigg were guests. To conclude the meeting, Mrs. J. M. Bird gave a portrayal of the hymn, "Nearer, My God, To Thee", in the sign language as used by the deaf. Bryson, 43, died at his home near Speedwell on Wednes day, November 26. He was a vet eran of World War II. Funeral services were conduct ed oil Friday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the Double Springs | Methodist church with Rev. Zollie Fox, officiating. Surviving are one son, Calvin Bryson, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Walter H.
