Other ?winners were the Faculty over the Webster High School, 47-24, and the Scouts over the Woodmen, 29 26. Doug Davis was the big gun in Buck's win with 12 points. Rector led the losers with 8 points. The loss threw Velt's into a first place tie with Boodleville. The two play Wednesday, Feb. 25 in a game that ?will decide the city league champ ions. For the Faculty the scoring was distributed between Jack Cun ningham with 17 points, Bumgar ner and Warren with 12 and Rhodes with 6. Buchanan was high for the losers with 10. Bob Tate's field goal in the last second of play capped a thrilling climax on an exciting game here tonight and provided a 44-42 victory fo rthe Catamounts of Western Carolina over Atlantic Christian as the two clubs squared off iirthe first of a two game series. With seconds remaining Bar ney Barnhorst stole the ball in mid court and fired over to Tate on the sideline at the foul stripe.
