Adams and children, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Fowler and Miss Faye Roberts ot Atlanta, Ga. spent the week-end with Mr. and Mrs. B. C. Gunnels. Troy Zachary arrived Saturday from Newport News, Va. to spend a week with his parents, Mr. and DARRINGTON, W. NEWS By G. W. Clayton We are still having rain and more rain. It just won't come spring. We are not working as the boom strike isn't settled yet. But we can still get our rocking chair money as we are not on strike. We got a dollar more and didn't strike. If we could only get to work, but most of the camps and mills in the state are shut down. Mrs. Bedford Blanton has come from Georgia to be with her hus band. She is another good singer. Our meeting surely helped our church and Sunday School. Today we had 131 in Sunday school and about 200 at church. We have the best preacher we have ever had and we are proud of him and Mrs. Breedlove. His son, Ralph, is also Mrs Jefl Zachary and other rel atives. A?The main purpose of voca tional advisement is to determine whether a disabled veteran should train for a profession or for a par ticular trade or occupation based on his previous education, exper ience, personal desires and ability. He is required to take a series of aptitude tests at a VA guidance center where he is interviewed and counseled by a group of highly trained specialists.
