Williams and two children, Gloria and Bob, of Maryville, Tenn. spent the week end with her mother, Mrs. T. O. Wilson. Mrs. Wilson accompanied them to Maryville Sunday and will spend this week with them. Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Cabe came about two weeks ago from North Bend, Wash, to spend two months visiting Mr. Cabe's sister, Mrs. Sue Bryson, and other relatives in the county. Mr. and Mrs. Cabe are natives of Jackson county, but this is their first trip back home in 25 years. Mr. and Mrs. George Jones and daughter, Emaline, of Loris, S. C. are spending a week visiting rel atives in the Savannah section of the county. Rev. and Mrs. W. Q. On Saturday they went to Marion to attend the marriage of Mrs. Freeze's nephew, Bob Pittillo and Miss Ruby Con ley. Mrs. Mary R. Cowan and Frank Cowan returned Friday from Dur ham where they attended gradu ation exercises at Duke University. Mrs. Cowan's brother, Tom Rey nolds, was a member of the grad uating class and received his Ph. D. degree in Mathematics. G. Snyder and other relatives. Mr. Lee Ray Brown, also of Warren, accompanied them down and spent a few days with her grandmother, Mrs. R. G. Snyder. Miss JeaRne Barrett returned Friday from Myrtle Beach, S. C where she had joined a group of Converse College friends for a week's house party. Miss Mary McLain has returned from Charlotte where she is em ployed in the city schools. She will spend the summer with her par ents, Mr. and Mrs. F. N. McLain. Mr. and Mrs. R. T. Cantrell and two children came from Oak Ridge, Tenn. to spend the week-end with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. F. N. McLain.
