NEWS FOR VETERANS Approximately 16.500 World W ar II veterans living in Virginia, Maryland, Ncrth Carolina, West Virginia and the District of Co lumbia reinstated more than $107, 000,000 in lapsed G. I. Insurance policies between July 23 and Aug ust 18, the Veterans Administra tion said today. The big rush to get lapsed pol icies back in force was attributed to the July 31 deadline for easy reinstatement. Prior to that date, most veterans could reinstate "idle" policies by .paying two montly premiums and submitting | a simple health statement. Those, whose policies have lapsed less than three months may still re instate by the method, but other? are required to ta^e a physical i examination. Veterans who' find it necessary to write to the Vj.cr-ns Adminis tration rre urged to provide full information about themselves in order to "help the VA yive better service." In writing to the Veterans Ad ministration, VA officials caution ed ex-servicemen, "give your full name and present address . . . and Farmers Are Advised To Check Fire Safety It' past experience means any thing.
