Seaman Robert A. Dyer, is now
based in Kokura, the headquarters:

Seaman Dyer enlisted in the

loween carnival held at the Sylva
High scnool on last Thursday eve
ning. Miss Jones was representa
tive for the e.ghth grade. The
even'ng's fun featured bingo, music
house, fish pond, house of horrors,
fortune telling, cake walk, and
others.
The carnival, an annual feature
of the senior class, was held for
the purpose of raising money to
ward the publishing of the school
annual. Mrs. Chester and Mrs.
Mary Cowan are faculty sponsors
for the seniors.
