leafy vegetables. The leafy wastes,
which amount to a staggering sum
each year, make nutritious feed for
chickens when the leaves are dried
to preserve their feed value.

I Thanksgiving Day, the Western I
Carolina Catamounts backed into
second place in the North State
Conference standings.
The Catamounts won three of
their four conference contests thru
the season. Every other club in
the loop lost two 'or more games
with the exception of Appala
chian which went undefeated but
once tied through the campaign.
The Catamounts hold the best
defensive record in the league by
having only 20 points scored a
| gainst them by conference clubs
Most of the potatoes grown in
Britain and in many other parts of
the world, including a number of
varieties cultivated in Europe, are
Scottish in origin.
