ton, Ga., on Monday morning, De
cember 6, at 10:30 o'clock.
They were accompanied to Clay
ton by the groom's brother-in

Three Churches Of
Charge To Have Meeting

In October a special meeting
was called by Rev. Joha Kincaid, |
pastor of the Webster Methodist

crease attendance in the churches
and Sunday schools. At this meet
ing a committee composed of Miss
Lucy Bumgarner, Love's Chapel,
Mrs. O. J. Lessley, Wesleyan, and
Mrs. Katq Rhinehartr^ Websterr
volunteered to be irt charge of a
visitation program for their
church. It was decided they
should meet again some time in
December to discuss their prog-'
ress, and to also bring up other
plans to further increase the at
tendance and interest in the
churches. This meeting^, will be
held tonight (Thursday) at the!
Wesleyan Methodist church \
at 7:30, it has been announced. All
members of Love's Chapel, Web
ster, and Wesleyan are urged to,
be present for the meeting.

day for Pulaski, Va.. to join their
daughter, and son-in-law, Mr. and
Russell Cline to go on to
Arlington where they were pres
ent for the burial rites of their son
--d brother. Pvt. Denver Talmadge
Bryson, ? which was held in the
nn^l cemetery nr> Mondav
afternoon at/ 2 o'clock. The
widow, Mrs. Pauline Pressley
Bryson, off Chapel Hill, also at
tended thi service.
Pvt. Rpyson would have been 29
years of age on Monday had he
lived. He was inducted in the
"nfan:ry 351st B. N. 88th Division |
5th Army, on September 1, 1943..
He trained at Camp Blandir.g. Fla.,
Fort Mead, Md., and served in the
European rnd Italian theatres o!
combat. He received the purple
heart and combat in ran*ry man's
badge, and was mortally wound
ed on July 9, and died on July 16,
1944. He Wi.s buried in Italy.
Pvt. Bryson was a graduate of
Cullowhee high school,'and West
ern Carolina Teachers College. He
was employed at Mead Corpora
tion prior to entering service.
Surviving are the Widow, Mrs.
Pauline Pressley Bryson, of Chapel
Hill and Speedwell, the parents,
Mr. and Mrs. W. W. Bryson of
Speedwell, and a sister, Mrs. Rus
sell Cline, of Pulaski, Va.
