In Florida, California, Arizona ana several oiner near-irupiL-ai places the major league teams will begin their annual Soring Training grind. The big question at hand does not concern when the majors begin their training, however. It has to do with the Sylva Baseball Club. With Spring rapidly approaching, the time for organizing a baseball club is now?and not in June, as was the case last summer. 1 * Have You Renewed FERGUSOIV EXCAVATING Modern equipment, ! Sylva has long been a livewire baseball town, a Western North Carolina leader in the sport. Last season the game dwindled to almost nothing. The Sylva Plowboys did their best to keep it going but it takes fan support for every snort. ?r ? There's baseball in the air?it's being talked around town. But if nobody cares to make the first move to get it organized?well, talk never won a baseball game. We'd like to see a little action taken on the subject. So would many of the fans. Let's get our Jim Pangles, Grady Woodards, and so on, together and get the ball rolling. The time for action 1 is now! Your Subscription?
