FARM MACHINERY.
A GREAT MEETING v
sell yon some new machinery
The trouble is that to many far
mers leave everything out in the
weather and the result is that
next spring it will need a lot of
repairing and perhaps you may
have to get it new. Why not
care for it and make it do you a
longer, time.
It is a waste to leave your wa
gon, yourr rake, plow, mowing
machine out in the winter storm
It would cost you less' to build
some kind of a shelter for it than
to ouy a new machine or repair
the waste of a season cover up
your machinery ond don't let it
stand put. A word to' the wise.

by letter and otherwise. As an
expression of their appreciation
the church presented Mr. Owen
with a purse of $120. Mr. Owen
has been one of our most success
fal missionaries in China for
twelve years and was sent home
by his physican. He is now do
ing evangelistic work among the
mountain schools, for his life is
so consecrated and surrendered
that he will not be idle. This is
the first meeting be has held
since undertaking this work, and
he held up remarkably well.
though he put in more than ten
hours some davs either in speak
ing from the platform or talking
to the unsaved in his room.
The enrollment in the College
grows steadily and has now
reached 380, not including those
who attend the Summer School.
There are now 300 in actual
; daily attendance, s record never
before reached either -in enroll
ment or average attendance.
And In conduct and daily life, in
application and right ideals, the
student-body is an exceptional
one.

Editor News-Record: will you
allow a little space in your
columns for a story from Run
r.iori N. Cf
, On Wednesday 29-inst. It was
reported in our town, that an old
sly Fox had slipped out of his
den, and slyly caught one of
Madisons, charming daughters.
this bold adventure so arroused
the young men of our towq as
soon as they was apprised of the
fact. They assembled their for
ces with all the impliments of war
that they could command and set
chase to try to capture the sup
posed intruder. At about
o'clock n. m. they struck his
trail ahd Anally they routed him
and then the race was on for
about 2i hours, tliey routed him
and scouted from pi tee to place
until finally they treed him, and
no finer piece of game has been
landed in these woods in a long
time, than this od fox and his
prey. So to-day the hunters all
look sad, from the fact I suppose
that they are not such lucky
sportsmen as the sly old fox.
Wishing the fox and his Better
half a long and lywipy life. .And
lots of fun for The ijlews Record.
I am yours truly,

Mr. Fox head sawyer at Run
