The bride was on 'a return trip 1
from Hot Springs, and was met
by the groom at Runnion. They
immediately decided to get mar
ried and with that object in view
came to the dwelling of Mrs,
Stackhouse. r

Triplett, daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. C. L. Triplett, died at the
home of hef' parents Saturday
afternoon at 4:30 o'clock, after
an illness of two weeks . with
complicated disease of the brain
Miss Triplett was easily one of
the most popular young ladies of
Lenoir, possessing a most rare
sunshiny and vivacious disposl
tion. ,:. - '
The funeral services were con
ducted from the first Baptist
Church yestrday afternoon at
3 o'clock by Rev. Messrs. J. 0.
Fullbright, C M. Pickens, E. N
Joyner and C. T. Squires.' The
body was interred in Belleview
Cemetary. The floral offerings,
profuse and most beautiful, ' at

The annual report of disbur
sement of the County funds for
the year 1912, which should
have been made by the county
officers has been delayed on ac
count of the sickness and death
of our dear friend and brother
W. H. Henderson, this piece of
work was assigned to him.
He has made these reports for
the past several years. Wade
was always prompt and accurate
we all trusted him but he was
too weak; although he had began
to prepair these rteports but death
claimed him before he finished
them. ' .
The reports will be posted as
soon as they can be prepaired.

Death of Mrs. Shelton.
Mrs. Shelton of Bear Cretk
died last week in child birth.
She was the daughter of Mr. and
Mrs.' Joe Ball and had filled a

friends. Her husband and child
