We read in the story of the train that plung ed into the raging torrent in Mis souri that Miss Nora Campbell a trained nurse Climbed to the up turned side of the chair car and rescued five imprisoned passen gers by pulling tbem thru the windows. It meant that that young lady kept her presence of mind and the result was that many that would have been lost were saved. The hardest rain that has fallen in this section in a long time fell last Monday about six o'clock, The storm was from the North west and was accompained by a strong wind. The Frisby Branch resembled a small river. Logs rocks and trash were pilled up on the railroad and for a time it looked as though , the trestle would go, but the force of the water was deflected by a number of logs, and after the rain the track was soon cleared; asside from blowing down late corn very little damage is reported.
