( A , 1 Ratified this the 29th day. of January, A. D, 1915.' Special. If anyone was of the opinion that religion was a dead issue in Madison County or Marshall,? he should have been at the depot Sunday afternoon to see the throng that was taking the train j to Asheville to be present at the idea of a delegation was urged by the local Christian Endeavor Society and through the co-ope-rataion of our genial ticket agent, Remine, a special train was at last secured to bring the delega tion back after the night service. The assurance of such accomoda tion more than doubled the num ber who could otherwise , have gone. Besides the many who went on other trains expecting to return by The Salvation Spe cial, ' one hundred and twenty six bought round -trip tickets to Asheville. . The delegation divided in the afternoon, the ladies going to the Auditorium and the men to the Tabernacle. But all came to gether tor the night service, Special seats were given the de legation in the very choicest spot in the building. Mr. Alexander, who speaks often of his being here formerly, said that they had given the Marshall delegation the Choicest seats because they didn't know where they could find ; any better people. - When asked to rise, due uvieuaiiiuu uuuiuucu about two hundred, many having joined it from Hot Springs, Run ion and Alexander. . . N one who was there will ever forget the stirring choruses that were sung, the frevent messages that were delivered or the effect of so many people making the great decision. The journey home was as good as ,. tha rest. The coaches rang with the en thusiastic singing of the , Old Gospel Songs, and we went to our hemes feeling that after all the Gospel that was so precious to our fathers is the need of. our lives to-day, and still it sings it self in our hearts. The "old time religion is good enough for me." John T. Marsh Ar rested for Murd er at Marion Charged With Killing J. R. Ray and is Said to Admit the Deed. MARION, N. C, Nov. 9. J. R.
