Last Saturday night the car of John Crute Robinson driven by his son, turned over on a curve on Hays Run landing in the creek Five young men were in the car. Fortunately none of them wart hurt very badly, but considerably chilled. We don't know who they were, nor how the car come out. A team belonging to Mr. J. E. Rice ran away last Saturday, up Main street in Marshall. The horse on the right struck a post at the Madison Hardware ' store and died within fifteen minutes. We are sorry of the misfortune as the horse that got killed was a fine one worth, perhaps, $175 00. John McEIroy, attorney at-law, now a law student at the Univer sity, Chapel Hill, some time ago he stood the State examination and now holds license. The New Record extends congratulations to 'John and we feel sure that he is . going to be one of the leading law ycrs of the State. Sheriff Cole; of Del Rio, Tenn, who has beon sick for some time was taken to .Inhn Honk ins hna. pital; Baltimore, Md.. Monday The many friends of Sheriff Cole in Madison county will be sorry it has become necessary for him to go to the hospital, but at the same time trusting that it will bo the means of his recovery to health The 16 year old son (Ernest) of Mr. and Mrs, Sid Jackson, stuck a nail in his finger either Thursday or Friday, blood poison developed and it become neeessary to take him to the hospital. The last re port the boy was in a very critical condition. Dr. Roberts is the at tending physician.
