Dr. Hus man, of the Federal Bureau of Animal Industry, explained the proposition to the commission ers and urged them to adopt it. A hen is a female hatched previous to 1926, while a pullet is one hatched in 1926. A pen of birds will consist of a male .bird and 4 female binds. .Birds entered in the single classes cannot compete with the birds in the pens nor can the birds entered in the. pens, compete in the single classes. There will be classes for eggs at this show. For the best dozen white eggs, and the best dozen brown eggs, a premium of $1 will be awarded. For the second best dozen of white eggs and of brown eggs a pre mium of 50c will be awarded. Size, color, uniformity, and quality will be considered in a warding the premiums on eggs.
