Mr. and Mrs. Venson Plemmons This paper wishes the news from every community in Madison County, j visited her parents the first Sunday, Mr. w. v. riemmons still goes to but there are some people who are sending in false reports that are like ly to get them in trouble. We want to make it clear once more that this paper is no medium through which to air family quarrels. Week before last an item was sent in from Revere that Mrs. Dock Gosnell of Piney Grove had given birth to triplets That item was all right if it had been Jrue, but it develops that this report was not true. Last week two items were give"n in the Walnut Gap news which were evidently sent through ill feeling. Apparently they were all right, but those who knew the facts tell us they were sent in because of ill feeling between families. Other false items have appeared from that section of the county or if not false, they were intended to offend. Any person who will try to air a family row through a newspaper is a coward and this paper will not hesitate to expose their names if this practice is continued. Don't think you can get away with it by writing over an assumed name. If you find yourself standing up in jail for forging another's name, don't be surprised. It's the purpose of this paper to put a stop to reports sent intended to offend and we call upo nthe law enforcemnet officers to help us in this matter. Asheville every week.
