Rev. Blaine Davis, who was born
and reared at Mars Hill and who is
now President of Boiling Springs
school, came back with his family
last Sunday and preached a very help
ful sermon at the 11 o'clock service.
Mars Hill has been very successful
in winning the inter-coilesriate de
bates this spring. Besides the ones
already won, last night Misses Ai-

Henderson debated Virginia Inter-
mont, represented by Margaret Pierce
Helen Fatti Norman and Virginia
McCauley. Mars Hill won all three
votes. The query discussed was : Re
solved That Congress should enact

partment of Education. Mars Hill
discussed the affirmative side of the
query.
The Mars Hill church is having a
new coat of paint on the inside this
week.. Next Sunday will be eleven
years to the day since our first serv
ice in the church.
