Does A Woman Lose Her
Citizenship By Marry
ing An Alien?
. i
A woman does not lose her A
merican citizensfhip by marrying
an alien, unless the alien belongs
to a race not eligible to naturali
zation. If an American woman
married a German or French or
English citizen, for instance, she
would not lose her citizenship; but
if she married a Chinese or Japan
ese she would lose her American
citizenship. Previous to 1922 a wo
man who was an American citizen
automatically lost her citizenship
if she married an alien regardless
of hisT race. The Pathfinder.
