Tournament (Continued from Pag One) , Creek rally, roared every time the two Willetts would "fire". It war evident that the large majority of the spectators were pulling for Spring Creek. The final five minutes jt the game were the most exciting f the tourney as the two teams natched goals with the lead chang 'ng several times. In the end, how ever, a little better balanced team oroved a one point winner as Mars Hill eked out the all-important 50-49 victory for the championship. Milam Wall led the scoring for the winners with 18 points with Howell Smith netting 13 points. Dick Vance looped in 12 points and perhaps proved the "smoothest" center in the tourna ment. His "fade-away", one-handed jump shot was a thorn in the flesh for every opponent. F. N. Willett was perhaps the best "all-round" player in the tournament and was widely cheered following the tourna ment's final game. The entire tournament was cap ably operated with splendid sports manship displayed by all teams and the officiating was most creditable. The spectators, for the most part, were orderly and the scorers, timers and other officials were "tops THURSDAY NIGHT FIRST GAME Girls Lineups Mars Hill (04) F Eatmon (11) F Shepherd (28) F Whitt (14) G Reese G Peek G Fisher (43) Laurel (4) A.
