Although competing with the World Series, the attractive building was jam med with interested citizens from many sections of Madison County who came to view the $33,350.00 structure. As we walked into the various rooms, we noted the fine arrangement, modern facilities and overall comfort of the building. Madison County can right fully be proud of its Health Center Building as it is one of the finest jn this section of the State. Also to be highly commended is the personnel of our Health Center, spearheaded by the untiring efforts of Dr. Margery Lord. It was mainly through the diligent work of Dr. Lord and the cooperation of our county commissioners that the new building was realized. If you haven't visited the new center, located on the former county home site, we urge you to do so. ' 4 $1 SOME OP MADISON County's 1958 burley tobacco crop is shown being cut hear Mars Hill.
