county.
There are 260 members of. the
Madison County Bureau at 'pre
sent and ttoe goal for the coming
year has been set at 300. Farm
organization is becoming more
important and Farm Bureau fills
a need across the Agricultural
Board. The obiective is to do
everything within our power to
increase incomes fofr farmers and
to keep our actions within bounds
of sound economic and government
policy, Mr. Edwards said.
In an explanation of what
Farm Bureau is, A. W. Huff,
president of the county organiza
tion, pointed out that it is farmer-owned
and operated and that
it has no connection with govern
ments. Primarily, it is designed
to help form agricultural policy
in such a way to help farmers in
crease tfheir incomes along con
sistent with the principles of
freedom and democracy.
